October 9, 2018; Delray Beach, FL; – The Mullings Group (TMG) announced today that Icaro Godoi has joined The Agency at TMG as the new Director of Photography. In his new role, Godoi will further develop TMG’s visual style on all of their platforms.
A native of Brazil, Icaro (Icky to his colleagues) emigrated to the United States when he was 17. He started his professional career in news filming in and around Washington D.C. It was there he honed his craft and style working alongside accomplished Directors of Photography. He draws inspiration from his love of architecture and nature.
In a varied career, Icaro has traveled the world filming documentary, reality and broadcast programming for Fox, Travel Channel, Esquire Channel, CMT, Lifetime, ABC, NFL, The Atlanta Hawks, and many more. He is best known for his work with Emmy nominee, Friday Night Tykes on Esquire channel. Most recently he wrapped on “American Beauty Star” Season 2 for Lifetime. His incredible eye along with a ‘can-do’ attitude is a welcome addition as The Agency expands at TMG.
“The Agency at TMG is launching major digital media initiatives over the next few quarters and I could not be more thrilled to welcome Icky to the team,” said Walter Biscardi, Jr, VP of Marketing. “We have worked together previously on digital projects and his positive attitude and knack for knowing just where to be with the camera are going to propel both TMG’s and our clients’ work forward.”
As a Director of Photography, Icaro built his reputation by understanding the importance of capturing the audience’s attention through storytelling. That attention to storytelling resonated with CEO Joe Mullings. “The Mullings Group is actively changing the industry of career development through digital storytelling,” said Mullings. “The most effective way to connect with others at scale is digitally. We continue to build out our full-fledged multi-discipline production team. Always hire the best athlete and clear the deck for them to run. We’re adding Emmy caliber talent to The Agency, designing our first studios, and we are changing the way that corporations and individuals will manage their access to talent and opportunities.”
Icaro is a member of the International Cinematographers Guild. He will be based at TMG Headquarters in Delray Beach, Florida.
